Going Green is a process that we are embarking on as a company. Why, because it's the right thing to do and it will save us money in the long run. We encourage others to join us with our effort. Our 2010 goal is to attain our official certification by the third party certifying organization by April 22nd 2010, Earth Day.
    In our quest we will:
  • Accumulate a total of 100 Points
  • Meet Minimum Points in each Category
  • Have a full-scale recycling program
  • Be Free of Polystyrene Foam (aka Styrofoam)
  • Yearly Education

Beginning in January 2010 we will begin migrating all of our disposable products over to products that are 100% compostable. Styrofoam will be converted to a sugar starch product that will compost in as little as 45 days. All our plastic items, cups, utensils, straws & stir sticks will be made from (PLA - Corn Plastic), a product made from corn.

OUR WELL GROUNDED - Program: We will have a coffee-ground compost program where if you want our coffee grounds form the Café we will gladly provide them for you.

All our plastic, glass and aluminum will be separated into special recycling containers.

All cleaning agents will be non-toxic, biodegradable.

Planning to serve our local community as well as the environment, we will purchase as much as possible from our local growers. We recommend WNC area residents also use the services of Foothill Family Farms, click here to learn more about them.
